HOUSTON--(Business Wire)-- Amerigroup announced it will expand on its commitent to providing Medicare-eligible consumers high-quality, afforadable healthcare through a collaboration with IntegraNet Health (IntegraNet). The Joint effort will be though Amerigroup's 2019 Medicare Advantage health insurance plan named Amerivantage Diabetes (HMO SNP), Amerivantage Heart (HMO SNP), and Amerivantage COPD (HMO SNP) - special needs plans (SNPs) specifically designed for individuals with chronic diseases.

Amerivantage Diabetes (HMO SNP), Amerivantage Heart (HMO SNP), and Amerivantage COPD (HMO SNP) offer similar coverage as standard Medicare Advantage plans - such as HMOs - but also have benefits, care provider networks, and medication formularies tailored to the needs of individuals with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, respectively. These SNPs aim to help individuals with chronic conditions better manage their disease in order to lead healthier lives and avoid potentially deadly complications.

Not-for-profit Medicare Advantage insurer will bring a 'different kind of Medicare Advantage experience' to Texas; also plans expansion to Nye County, Nevada.

LONG BEACH, Calif., Aug 4, 2022 - SCAN Health Plan, the award-winning Medicare Advantage insurer with a 45-year history of keeping older adults healthy and independent, plans to offer health plans in Texas starting in 2023. SCAN Health Plan is also planning a further expansion in Nevada. Pending regulatory approval from the Centers for Medicare amd Medicaid Services, the expansions would bring SCAN's total reach to nearly seven million potential customers across 20 markets in four states. SCAN Health Plan is a holding of SCAN Group.
